    No this is biting their feathers as if they are biting bugs off them Ihave had chickens for many years and know the difference they are all biting and flapping their wings . Thanks Charlie

    I have 6 RIR 2 silkies and 1 polish they are itching all the time .I have cleaned the coop dusted with sevin 2 times rubbed it in their feathers very well and they continue the biting and shaking of their feathers I cannot see any bugs on them at all .Anyone have any ideas...

    update Chicken the same , What ever is wrong with it is not contagious.This has been going on for 3 weeks now and my others are fine.It's eyes are real red not the normal orange color RIR have crop is big as well stays on it's own and scratches but really won't eat treats ...

    Just checked them she sits on the floor and her tail is bobing up and down slightly, don't know what to make of it.She sticks to herself out in the yard and scratches real slow. Charlie

    Cloudy pupils, no other symptoms

    I have 5 RIR got them from a local chicken person , as they got older 3 of the five became blind in one eye.I am sure this is some kind of genetic defect from breeding .They all get around fine and are 18 months old. Charlie
