    Thanks for the replies. Reason I'm asking is do they just need the headroom for walking about or would they prefer it higher so they can flap about, jump around and fly up a bit? Maybe they would also like to have perchs off the ground for hanging about on outside the coop???

    I've searched and read a lot of the threads on here regarding run heights but how high do the chickens need the run to be to keep them happy (forget about human access etc. for now!) Thanks, Kohhal
