    VSB Automatic Pop Door Opener?

    I'm trying to find a US source for this product, and it looks like Foys no longer carries it. Has anyone bought one here in the States instead of having it sent from the UK? Need this particular model since it's battery operated and don't have electricity near the coop.

    From all my research on chickens, they were naturally jungle/forest animals (for protection and for foraging), so they do very well in shade.

    why can't I use an automatic door? The instruction manual I read for one in particular said it can be rigged up and be used with a 12 volt battery. I'd like to give that a whirl. I understand what you're saying now about the flooring now...preventing vermin from gnawing through the wood floor...
