    SOS, Chicken Won't Stand/Walk

I have her in a sling. Still not eating or drinking, walking or standing. She is just hanging, with her tail feathers fluffed out. Poor girl. Thanks for all of your advice!

    SOS, Chicken Won't Stand/Walk

The coop is inside of the run but the chickens sleep on top of the coop instead of in it (I've tried, they won't change!) Last night I left the gate to the run open so she could get in. I personally think the flock did it. She is one of 3 chickens that just started sleeping with the rest of the...

    SOS, Chicken Won't Stand/Walk

Smidge went MIA last night when everyone else went to bed. She made her way to the coop sometime during the night, my daughter also heard a commotion coming from the coop sometime in the night. This morning Smidge was back but unable to stand/walk. She won't eat/drink either. Not sure what is...

    Another Batch, Hen or Roo?

I was really hoping Gertrude would have ended up female! They're part silkie and I love that fluffy head!

    Another Batch, Hen or Roo?

It is! I posted the other half yesterday and ended up with 3 males, 2 females. Lots of boys! A little saddening because I love them ALL so much!

    Another Batch, Hen or Roo?

Last night I posted the first half, today I was able to photograph the rest of my flock. Some I have a fairly good idea on some, but what do y'all think?

So maybe no need for a roo at all? Thanks so much for your time.

    Help Me! Hen or Roo?

The one I planned to keep is a shoulder sitter but I see that is not a good quality, even if it's endearing. Rethinking keeping a male at all.

    Help Me! Hen or Roo?

Thanks so much for all of the wisdom! He is super dominate and now that I'm looking at it from that perspective and not cute shoulder chicken perspective it makes a lot of sense. It does suck though because he is SO cute but I definitely don't want to fight a grown rooster.

    Help Me! Hen or Roo?

I'd say I probably have 6 that are male, 2 super "nice" the rest scared of everything. I plan on keeping one of the "nice" ones so I'm trying to gather info. Appreciate it!

    Help Me! Hen or Roo?

Oh dang. I would say he is definitely the head too. He is always the first one out the door, the biggest of them too. I had someone else telling me how lucky it is to have such a docile, friendly bird.
