    My daughter in law's hen is laying her eggs in the rooster's coop, and she is trying to sneak in there to roost.

    My daughter in law makes her return to her coop, she buries her head in the number 1 hen's chest. What does this mean? I don't know if this is pertinent but her rooster isn't interested in mating.

    well maybe the snakes aren't rat snakes, I one I encountered this morning reared up at me. I sprayed it away with the garden hose. I just don't want to annoy the chickens with the soap odor.

    What were your worst mistakes when you first started?

    I don't have enough room to list the many mistakes, however I have found that chickens are very forgiving. Having said that, my first mistake is feeding them too much ... feed and treats. So I have made adjustments.
