    They are fed well....layer pellets, scratch grains, fresh veggies and open roaming 1 or 2 times a day

    Eggs come in all sized..had small ones and one like an ostrich size...oh boy I bet that was a surprise....lol

    there is a food called feather fixer...I used it when my girls lost a lot of feathers....worked good nice and fluffy again got it at Farm and Fleet

    Sudden chicken death

    I have lost 3 birds in a year...healthy one day and dead the next....no clue to what happened...they just dropped dead..I think my rooster froze due to the very cold winter...one other one died in the winter...one in the spring...healthy then gone.....sad

    Broody Hen Thread!

    Funny I have an orpington that sits all day on nothing...use to sit on eggs but now she sits in the box all day...took her out when the other girls were outside running around..she didn't like me putting her outside...screamed like crazy...got her treat and goes back in the box...

    Why have my girls stopped laying?!

    We had a rooster died in Dec...the girls were good layers but have slowed down...only 2 -4 eggs ...we have 8 girls..they are 2 years old..good food let them out to roam 2 times a week...don't know why they aren't laying more eggs...
