    20 minutes is all they need in a hot water bath. Thats all I do. My grandmother taught me how to can tomatoes and never put lemon juice in there. They are acidic enough. Same for pickling.

    @Katt66 has a jersey giant hen that is broody for her third time this year! Crazy girls. She doesn't have space so Peri is going to live with me for a few months. I'm not gonna lie, I'm excited about it! Lol

    Sadly, no! I wish! I cannot figure out how to change it to my birds! Information is scarce on this matter! We know the effects of calcium in humans and other animals so we can take a pretty good guess what will hppen to a rooster when he doesn't use exta calcium to poduce shells...

    Correct, Flock raiser with oyster shell on the side. The higher protein is good for all birds and will help them through their molt as well. Some birds will lay eggs while they molt, but most do not. 2-6 weeks after they finish you can expect to see eggs again!
