    Emergency, rooster being low

Thank you for the advice, I’ll try that. He’s been like that for a month now…but I’ve been trying almost anything. I bought the crumbled oysters for them too…so we’ll see.

Plucked feathers on the head and back

Yeah, that’s also what I’m thinking, I can’t rehome ill roosters, for now I’ll just keep them separated, hens with a Silkie, Cochin and a Brahma roosters as guards since they almost don’t even care about the ladies and the others will be prisoners😁 I have a 20m2 space in my garden which I think...

    Emergency, rooster being low

I did start giving them only feed and I’ll stop giving them treats. I didn’t really think I gave them too much snacks, one slice of watermelon on 30 chickens…one head of salad…half of the gourd. But I’ll stop that, they’ll get that once a week :)

Plucked feathers on the head and back

I have 7 roosters and 24 chickens…it’s wayyy too many roosters. They are all around 1/2 year olds. The coop is cca 7m2 and they do free range almost every day. Also I’m always on the lookout so when I hear any problem I’m right there to help. All my roosters are really calm and they don’t fight...

Plucked feathers on the head and back

They’re all roosters, today I separated them from the hens. My sister and I will build another chicken coop since the mites got out of control. I made them a spray with Neopitroid Alpha, the main ingredients are permetrin and alpha cypermethrin. I sprayed the coop with ash, dirt, different...

Plucked feathers on the head and back

Hello again :) It wasn’t hard to notice that all my hens are missing feathers on their backs, they’re practically naked. They also have bald spots on their heads. So my thought is it’s either lice or mites that I’m trying to get rid of with permetrin, since I have an invasion and a couple of my...

    Emergency, rooster being low

Okay, noted. So I just stop giving them corn? Is there any way I can boost him a little bit? I’m surely doing something wrong because we had chickens years ago and everything was fine, no ill chickens, but this and last year…its pure chaos. We lost 7 chickens in a year…and today when I was...

    Emergency, rooster being low

Every two-three days, but I give it more like a snack, they have corn/feed available all day every day, I take care that the water is always fresh, also fruits and vegetables are from my garden so no pesticides, but I still wash them before giving it to them. But I don’t see how would that...

    Emergency, rooster being low

Hi, I seem to have a problem with my rooster. He has watery poop, he’s very slow, he looks very pale, feathers look bad, his stomach is full and hard all the time. It seems almost like he can’t digest food. We’re feeding him the usual stuff, corn, lettuce, some watermelon which he loves, etc. We...

How to get rid of lice/mites quickly?

Yeah, I saw the main ingredient is Spinosad and it’s used for gardening so I was confused if it can be used on chickens. I also saw how the elector psp is used and that seems like a perfect way to get rid of mites and lice, but it’s not available in Croatia unfortunately and I did my reaserch...

I have a problem with lice/mites, I need something that can be applied to the hen and in the coop. We have already tried some methods, but nothing worked and now it has gotten a little out of control, so I need something that works quickly. Please help…
