Glee! Those are the answers I was looking for, the kids and I have become very attached to them all.
@Wishing4Wings - Thank you! Sunny is my favorite color wise =-)
Afraid to ask...but the time has come. My first 4 chicks are now nearly 7 weeks old and while I am positive the RIR is a pullet my EE's are confusing me. Any guesse's or opinions would be most welcome =-)
Chick 1 - Sparrow, from what I've read she's a typical pullet color..but she has also...
I've been wondering about that, since hatchery's are less strict about culling birds with what's considered a fault..like the purple sheen and breeders have been working for quite a while to eradicate it...wouldn't that mean that for this particular project hatchery stock be easier to start out...
I no longer have a horse - life has simply conspired against me at the time being and I have neither the room nor the money for one, wish I could ride..but theres not even a decent stable around for lessons but alas..here is the horse I used to have - Supreme

Toggenburgs!

you might be able to help the swayed back some by doing 'back lifts' to help build up the muscles, I did it with a mare I used to own at the recommendation of an Equine chiropractor and it really helped..you just take the tips of your fingers of a comb and run it under the belly so that they...
But I've decided I want some chickens. We're in a small rural community in Lowndes county Georgia right outside Valdosta and we're still in the 'gathering materials' stage of building our coop as I want to use as much reclaimed wood and materials as I can to save on costs. We have a fairly good...
