    I have 3 new chicks. If it is real hot out do they still need a lamp on? 90 out today! Also I brought them home. They put them in a little paper bag. The older one is just laying there. Looks real hot. Gave her some water and she did eat but isnt moving much.

    I have 8 keets and they are in a coop with 3 chicks the same age. Someone told me to keep 2 keets in and let the others out because they will never go far from the other 2. They said to always do that. What do you guys think?

    Yes, Buff Orpingtons are quite meaty! lol I put him on craigslist. I have too many people coming and going because its a horse farm so I can't risk anyone getting attacked because my chickens free range. I have a silkie rooster who is real sweet. Is that good enough for a rooster?
