I only have 2 birds, so I’m hoping she can live with this as I don’t want to have just 1 bird. She would be too lonely. I was planning on getting new chicks but won’t be anymore as I don’t want to infect an other birds
I’m not sure if she was. I got her off a friends brother who got them from a lady that could no longer take care of them. They are almost 2 years old and I read that mereks is usually when they are younger or can they get it at any age ?
Yes she is separate from my other hens. I plan on keeping it that way for at least 30 days.
My main concern is keeping things moving. Her poop has never been normal looking. Reminds me of wet sand. And then the last day it was dried to her. She was pooping again tonight so hopefully these...
I don’t think it’s prolapsed. After I cleaned it, it looked a lot better and looked like a normal vent.
Just dried poop really. I have looked at many photos and didn’t really see anything that resembled what she had. I wish I would have taken a photo
She was hatched in June so she isn’t laying yet.
I didn’t take any photos and I got the poop out. It was like a hard mass that I had to work at soaking with water and digging out.
I’m just worried about her diet and what I should be feeding her to make sure the poop doesn’t build up again
