Our coop is a bit busy and open front. She had already lost 2 chicks to the cold so we decided to move her inside to recover her strength after being broody and to give the chicks a chance to get larger before being added back to the coop.
So we've had a hen that's been broody for a bit now but with the cold weather we didn't think she would be able to hatch them.... Well we were wrong 😂 she and her chicks have now been moved into a dog kennel in the laundry room till the chicks get a little bigger. Early Christmas gift for us!

Processed some roosters and chased a hen around a pole barn for 30 min with my daughter so we could put her in the coop, it was after dark. Darn thing is quick and sly but i guess you have to be after surviving a hawk attack the way she did.
