I know it is strange, but we have had two Brittany’s and both have been great with the chickens. Both did retrieve a few birds when we first got them, but only once or twice. Our old dog would occasionally flush them. Our current Brittany actually helps me round them up back into the coop if...

I’ve been moving it to high ground when it rains. Here is a picture of the inside housing. I have a hot wire around the inside of the fence around my back yard, as well as a dog that roams free. He does occasionally chase my chickens, but doesn’t kill any. I just started getting eggs this...
We just got some Coturnix quail that we hatched from hatching eggs. My husband built this mobile coop. Will this be ok in the winter too, or do we need something warmer?
Ok thanks, I think we’re in the process of adding a solar fan and some vents. The hen with the blue ears is a golden appenzeller Spitzhauben, we got her from cackle hatchery in a rare breed mix we ordered.
Ok, thanks, we’ll add some more ventilation at the top. We had modeled it after our coop at our old house that we had for 5 years. It was a converted kids playset and did have one inch gaps between all the boards at the roof though.
My husband just finished our coop. We found some old cedar fence panels and took them apart to use for the sides of the coop. Our hens were checking it out as we were assembling it.
