A little late posting! We set 10 standard backyard mix eggs in our brinsea mini. A beautiful mix of greens, olives, and dark brown eggs from another local.
We lost our boy, Hank, and two of our old ladies this winter. Our girls are lost without their hubs and I think 2 of our 4 remaining hens...
They are always my very best chickens. They are usually friendly, super healthy and live forever! My oldest hen right now is from our random flock and she's 6.5 years old.
All through hatching! Started with 7 eggs, 5 made it to lockdown but only 4 hatched. So now I've got 4 unique little barnyard mix cuties from 3 different colored eggs (2 dark brown, one pale blue, one light olive). I caught two of them hatching, but I don't know which color egg each of the two...
I only have a brinsea mini so I'll set 7 backyard surprise eggs at noon. I have a few spares in case any don't develop but they'll hatch late if I have to swap them in.

Is your chicken a standard sized breed or a bantam?
Our cotton diapers start at $50, but we do have a hybrid "duck" diaper designed for chickens and with that you could definitely get a watermelon diaper =)
