Just a few questions; I've tried to get Refurbished Lumber build another coop (lumber from my neighbor) But none are straight and are big enough to support a roof.
Anyone know any cheap deals...
Yeah, I should probably fence off a small portion of the coop to let the little ones go in and play, I should probably get more perches in there as well to keep them busy.

well if you are going to tear them apart anyways for coop construction, you could probably keep a few in tack on the roof, and then pull the rest apart with a few hammers and in the back of your car.
Or ask someone for the use of their truck.
The nesting boxes are at the very top of the coop, she can't jump that high, so I want to put them about 1 foot off the ground and make an easy wide ramp for her. So far my nesting boxes are made from plastic rubbermaid storage containers, so they are large enough for her to fit confortably. My...
I have a hen that only has one working leg, she hops around just fine, but i need to make the nesting boxes lower and wider to allow her to get up off the ground to nest/roost.
As well as make a cold shelter for all my girls, mostly a modern game hen that wont survive a rare arizona winter...
