    Hi, I have a 4 week old chick which looks to have cocci, Its sunday in the uk, and the only places in the uk that have harkers coxid is amazon and ebay. Is there any other brand to treat this and or what can i do in the meantime. The chick showed symptoms of this since Thursday.

    Woke up this morning to 2 other furry balls of chirpyness, and further one popped out about 9am.. But the heat lamp died, so we are now using a hot water bottle and a normal 60w lightbulb till the new bulbs turn up

    well one came out about 7pm ish, and now is playing football with the other eggs .......

    The electric is ok, they only cut a part of the tree .. sooo fingers crossed.. Four have now externally pipped. All four are at single hole status.. Humidity: 62% Temps 37.3

    got a mini funnel and a super thin straw and fed warm water in that way .. so I'm back up to 60% .. It took a lot of water so i'm just leaving it at 60%

    Well its a limb from a tree, so I may be ok.. atm the humidity has doped to 54%. Am tempted to pour some water though the air hole lol. Theres only the first crack on three of the eggs, so i don't want to open it right now . Its one of these incuabators

    Even though i have another thread "[chickens] First external pip and now with low humidity " about my hatch i have another problem We may have a power cut (outage) for up to 3 hours due to a tree being cut .....? What do i do ? Can i use a heat lamp if its longer than 3 hours

    Second one is now zipping and multiple hammering sounds is going on. So I'm leaving the lid on. The humidity is still at 55c and should spike upwards once one of chicks is out, Temp is 37.2 now and will fluctuate so i'm leaving it as it is as long as theres action

    Hi, I have a janol 12 incubator, I'm at day 21 and with a mix of normal and bamtam chicken eggs. 7 of the 8 in there look viable. The smallest egg, has pipped this morning but i'm now at 55% humidity .. Should I wait for the chick to zip some more - thus releasing humidity or should i add...

    Had to help the 3rd one and the outer membran was really dry and had shrink wrapped. Again under the heat lamp and left with 1/2 of the egg on him, a little more blood ths time but i think in the breach position, that was a certainly. Hes sleeping atm, just needs to push now!

    he came out fine, the 3rd has done the external pipping at the pointy end :( and its day 31!

    It came fully out of the egg about an hour ago.. he seems a little bit weaker than the first one
