    I like to put the whole chicken in the crock pot, then pour a bottle of Italian dressing over the top. Add no other liquid. Let cook until tender. My family loves this with mashed potatoes.

    I would do both. If you saw four, there are probably a lot more. They do carry disease and will kill your chickens. Good luck! I hate Rats! I have to stay vigilant here to keep the rat population down.
