Moving chicks in truck

Well I didn't think about it but they did spill there water while I was at work last night and my mom tried to clean some of it out. Maybe if I clean it really good they will stop.- Kyn

Heat plate and lighting
I'm new to having chicks and I have went with the heating plate. I have 7 chicks in a brooder in my basement the room has one tiny window. I've been keeping the bedroom light on 24/7. Is this right? Or should I not be keeping the light on all the time and if not what should I do?- Kyn
