Rhode Island Red or Buff Orpington

I was looking for information on breeds and ran across this. I bought all my chicks and ducks so far from the feed store in thoughts I knew I’d give them a good home etc. etc. However, next go around I sadly probably won’t. I first bought 6 barred rocks, three what I believe are buff orphs and...

    Move to the coop

Oh yeah mine are much smaller. They are on screened in porch in brooder now. It’s 83 in there without lamp on (which I will turn on before I go to bed) I hope no cats, snakes, mice, rats, raccoons etc. break into the porch much less the brooder

Help! My Baby Ducklings Are Chirping A LOT

Thank you! Yeah I was cleaning the chick container once daily or more and the smell was still really getting to my family. I will probably keep ducks inside the same for a week or two if I can stand it then to the screened porch they also go until they make their way to the farm!

Help! My Baby Ducklings Are Chirping A LOT

We should get our ducks this week or next. The chicks went in their brooder on the screened porch today. Super nervous about tonight. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Your babies are so cute! Question- do they stink as bad as chicks inside? I’m glad it’s warm here in NC. I worry about night time preditors getting into the...

When to move the chicks to screened porch?

Mine will be on screened porch tonight for the first time, there are 12 In the brooder and I have a light. It does have a top with wire covering. I’m just so terrified something will break into the porch and get the top off or under it.

    Chicks and kids

That’s what we were thinking. The only thing I worry about is snakes and rats but I mean they would have to work to get into the porch to begin with.

    Remote coop watch/cameras

Don’t worry guys, I’ll chill out on here eventually. So when my chicks are big enough they will go to our farm coop. We do not live there currently so I want a set of cameras to watch not only inside the coop, but the runs too. I would like them to be as cheap as possible so my husband doesn’t...
