    wierd bump, protrusion, ingrown feather... actually preening gland

    Thank you so much for this post! My husband showed me this thing on one of my ladies this evening and I was so scared - it looked like a large maggot emerging out of her back and it totally freaked me out. Absolutely makes sense - phew!!!! Thanks very much. I can now sleep tonight!
