@Kenny_ I would but the eggs in with all the X’s facing up. Then a week later, when I candle, I would put all the O’s facing up. Then do that again the next week with the X’s. But I still let the turner do its thing. I’ve hatched 3 batches with 100% hatch. Maybe try that.
I just got my Murray McMurray order 3 weeks ago and all 22 chicks are doing well. This is my3rd order from them in the last 6 years. I have never had a problem with them or their chicks.
My chicks stopped using their MHP at one week of age. They live out side. Night temps in the upper 40’s. They are four weeks old now and almost completely feathered out. I’m sure yours will be just fine without it.

@bruceha2000 The temp under the pad was 85-90 degrees. They haven’t piled up on each other either. They sit next to each other, they look like a large fluffy blanket.
I love the MHP. It is really a great way of keeping your chicks warm. I hatched out 16 chicks 3 weeks ago, and for the first week they used the MHP sometimes during the day and went in at night. But after the first week, they stopped using it at night. I have more chicks set to hatch Memorial...
