No other hens have any problems. She doesn't sneeze during the day or if she is in the garage at night. She didn't do it during winter when is was very cold. Only the last 4-6 weeks.
There is more than enough roosting space. I don't think she can fly up to it. She hates it when I put her up there. Bedding gets changed once a week. There are only 8 hens there.
Pine bedding. I clean it out once a week. I have been using the same kind for three years. I may try the horse pellet bedding next.
Roosting space is over 20 feet for 8 birds. I don't think it's a space thing on roosting space. I think she can't fly up to roost. One roost is pretty low. She...
I have a year old frizzle hen. She is great during the day, but sneezes at night. I put her in the garage for a week. She was great no sneezes. I put her back out and it started back up the second night. She sleeps alone on the floor of one of the coops. She is a loner.
I was wondering if...
She doesn't sound like that. Its more a squeak/ sneeze. She has had it for two weeks. Her breathing is fine. She is running around and acting like she always does. I tried to get a video and she stopped making the noise.
I have a 18 month old turken hen. She survived a dog attack last may and hasn't laid an egg since. No blood or puncture marks. She just lost feathers and wedged herself into a tight space. She has been off ever since.
The last two weeks she has started making a funny squeak / sneeze noise...
Okay. Thanks. I thought she molted early in the summer. She looked all scruffy and feathers were everywhere. She looks amazing right now. Do they molt twice a year?
I have a 2 and half year old wyandotte hen. She has been a great egg layer. All winter, and at least 6 eggs a week otherwise. She hasn't laid an egg in 3 weeks. My other hens have been. None from her. She looks great. No mites, or lice or other bugs. I can't see anything wrong with her. She...
I will try to get a picture. She is back with the flock. She has struggled since she was hatched. I wonder if something is wrong with her physically and it's killing her now that she is getting bigger. My 3 week old cochins are bigget than she is.
My runt chick is now 14 weeks old. It has been 1/3 of the size of its hatchmates since 2 weeks old. It has struggled from the start. Same parents. It looks scruffy. I have been checking it's crop. It's full at night and empty in the morning. It is skinny. Very very skinny. It stays by itself...
I can't keep roosters. I was hoping that this one was a hen. I have to find him a new home. I have 3 naked neck hens. They are great layers.
All the pretty ones are roosters it seems.
