Made it over to my dad's house to check out the other half of my chick flock. He has my Barred Rocks and a couple others. Not positive what the other black chicks are. But here are some pics of the rest of the babies.
And we hung out with my dad's hens, while we were there. My daughter...
Thank you for the advice! I will post pictures in a couple weeks. I spent half my day building a separate brooder for my ducklings, yesterday. It's pretty ghetto-fabulous, but it's the first thing I've ever built all by myself and they seem to be doing well and it's holding up :D
Picked up...
Hatchery birds, mallards, Rouens... they are still all very pretty birds! Can't wait for my Rouens to get bigger so I can find out if I have boys or girls :D
Thank you very much for clearing that up! I will post some more pics, once the "cockerel" starts to feather up. I'm sure ou are probably correct though, as you've seen them before. Thanks again!
I think you are right, about the Faverolles! I looked up images of chicks and that is exactly how this one looked as a day old chick! Tiny feather feet and just like three black spots. So you think this one is a cockerel and not a pullet?
I have three of these and I was almost positive these were my Araucanas. I know they can look very different, but are we saying that the three that look like this and the others are all EE's? Thanks everyone
