    Yes. They are 3 years old and always laid a darker egg.

    What did you do in the garden today?

    Checked on my flower seeds, moss roses are growing like crazy, pansies and petunias are starting to pop up. Pansie seeds were bought but petunias and moss rose seeds were saved from last season.

    I have 1 easter egger and 5 bared rocks. Last fall they all stopped laying do to molt and short daylight. Now they all are laying again but 1 bared rock is laying a white egg, I don't see any problems with any chicken and eggs are fine also. Easter egger lays a green egg almost daily, so I know...

    I have a wild Rooster pheasant hanging around my hens.

    This Rooster Pheasant has been hanging around my hens run the last few days. He sure seems like he wants to join the flock, not sure he is feeling a little frisky or hungry. The girls don't seem to care much for him, they seem to hide in the coop after he hangs around. Anyone else have this happen?

    Bird Flu in the area again.

    Well bird flu is at our local chicken farms again. The one farm is just over 2 miles from us and their fields are just a 1/4 mile from us where they spread some manure and egg wash liquid. I am hoping they don't bury the dead chickens there. I got through the last outbreak of the bird flu okay...

    If Chickens Could Speak, What Would Yours Complain About?

    Mine would want to get out of there run (free range). I would love to let them out, but we have so many predators around they would end up chicken dinner. :(
