I purchased this EE as a chick and was told it had been sexed and was a pullet. I'm pretty sure it is a she, but I wanted a second opinion. Out of the two I bought she has more of a comb and its started turning red before the others. She's almost 10 weeks. No sign of Spurs.
I have a 3 day old tolbunt polish chick I hatched. I noticed the faint clicking noise the first day and she's just starting to eat a tiny bit and drink a tiny bit. Should I be concerned? She's not open mouth breathing, no sneezing, no nasal discharge, but she does breath a little heavier than...
Even if it hasn't pipped through the membrane? I'm worried it's going to get shrink wrapped. I missed the inside of the incubator and outside of the egg before I left. My humidity doesn't seem to get a over 69% right now. I'm so nervous.
Help! It looked like one had internally pipped and I saw lots of movement so I made an artificial pip. It doesn't appear to have actually pipped inside. Did I just doom the poor little thing!? I still see lots of movement in the pip I made, but I had to leave for work so I can't watch it. Also...
HHHH! So I thought one had internally pipped so I created a pip in the shell and it doesn't seem to have actually pipped into the air cell. I can see it moving a lot. Did I just doom it?! I hope I didn't kill it :(
I hope so. I cancelled but can only really see one move. Doesn't look like any have internally pipped. I really hope more hatch. The one that hatched seems very alert but is t walking well. It jumps around but doesn't stand.
It's a homemade styrofoam incubator. Still air. Did more of a dry incubation(35-45) for the first 17 days and now it's been staying at about 68% and 100degrees.
HELP! So I'm a nervous wreck right now. Today is day 21 and I have 7 eggs in the incubator. They were all alive when I put them into lock down. One hatched yesterday and is out and doing fine, but no others have even pipped yet. Should I be concerned??
Here's updated photos of my two polish and the houdan. They'll be six weeks old in a few days. Just wanted to see if you still thought pullets? I don't see any signs of being cockerels.
