    various shades of white, a few lay a very light brown, unlike their Large Fowl cousins.

    Have 60 Black Langshan Bantam eggs in the incubator. I am hoping 50 to 75 chicks from two hatches. Keeping my fingers crossed. The culls will go into the freezer.

    Yes, they had a nice class of Langshans there. The show is not as large as it used to be. one building show last time I show it was a two building show. Sign of the times I guess.

    I've never had any Mottled Houdan chicks from McMurray that had crossed beaks and such. It has been a good 6-7 years with Mottled Houdans but mind were all healthy. They were pretty decent layers of medium white shelled eggs, but I did have problems with them after about 15 months of age...
