What breed is this 3 week old chick that’s supposed to be a cream legbar.

Do you have any photos of their back when first hatched? Did it still have the autosexing markings but just in a lighter colour?

    Is this a cream legbar?!

Is that an accepted colouring for cream legbar? I mean i have 4 and i'm only learning. CCLB can come without a crest i believe if two small crested heterezygous birds for crest are bred together resulting in a 25% yeild of no crest. This girls colouring looks very different to my 4. But i do...

    Cream Legbar x with Barnevelder

Do barnivelders usually feather slowly? I have some at 9.5 months old its halfway through an aussie summer and they are moulting. But its like they never had their adult feathering in the first place. They are changing colour and they still have 'baby fluff' to loose. I also have 4 cream legbar...

Crests on Legbars and Breeding them Out

My green egg laying chickens all have no crests, all preserved the autosexing traits bar 1 green laying hen but her breeding is different to the others. The others are all crossed back to barnivelder. They look like barnivelders. I incubated all 6. The only one from an olive egg was my roo. At...

Condy's Crystals ( Potassium Permanganate ). YES or NO!

Just came across this thread. Condys crystals or pottassium permanganate has been used to treat botulism and prevent botulism in water sources historically.

Egg color question / green egger x white egger

Commenting to follow. But is there a reason you have asked this question? I incubated 12 cross-bred chickens (mainly barnivelder genetics but a couple with about a quarter blue australorpe). Some of the flock carry the blue egg gene. I actually only ended up with one chick from an olive egg...

    Cream Legbar x with Barnevelder

Hey just wondering how these guys ended up turning out? And do you have any photos of the parents? What colour and pattern was the barnivelder you began with? Did the pullet lay green eggs? I've only just found this thread and it's left me hanging!@

Color genetics and sexing of double laced Barnevelders

So I've incubated 6. They are 12 weeks old and it was only the two blue laced pullets that I wasn't fairly bang on with in the first week, that was due to their behaviours, and in one pullet her size and slow feather developement. I kept track of weights, wing feather pattern, tail feather...

    Unco-ordinated rooster

Hi, I have a 10 week old barnivelder x blue australorpe roo who seems to be getting more and more unco-ordinated. He's never balanced well on any form of perch even on my arm he needs to be close to my body for balanced. He looks funny when he runs, doesn't jump and gets anxious going down...

Share pics and weights of 3 week old chicks!

I have weights every couple of days plus physical characteristics from pre-incubating eggs right though. I'll be at 3 weeks on Friday- Sunday and most will fall between the 170-200g mark. I looked at egg circumference differences ect as well. Happy to share any :)

Hi, My name is Lauren. We had chickens on the farm when i was younger, but ive decided to incubate some as pets and so my kelpie has been here for the whole incubation process, and as i had hoped, shes taken to them like a duck to water .
