    I have the same issue. My head girl just laid her first egg last week and now her comb looks like this (see below). Her first egg was huge so maybe she was overly stressed. Please let me know if any action should be taken.

    Speckled Sussex- curious to know if she is show quality?

    Sally is just starting to lay her first eggs. I do not have an image with her wings spread but there is a small white tip on the end, otherwise no white patches. Ready for the truth we love her either way... Being new to this world it would be a fun experience to show her if she is at all...
