    Put out feed for 2-3 days or more at a time so they don’t have to ask for more.

    He did pass away after 3 days. It must've been internal injuries. Sad that I did this to him. Lesson learned: proper flashlight use, when in the dark away from other light source!

    Leave enough food/water and they should be fine. Of course, always best to be there, but the next best thing is air, water and food...❤️

    Accidentally stepped on my chicken yesterday

    I see this is an old post, but just happened to me last night! Accidentally stepped on my beautiful 1 month old Copper Marans Roo. Have been trying to help him drink water fortified Chick drink. Am aware of the need for culling, but not yet ready to do that.

    My Welsummer chickens started to lay at 7 months...was SO excited the 1st of December this year: My Early Christmas presents! Eggs here are from my Silver Laced Cochin Bantum, my Red Sex Link, and my Beautiful Wellie egg, my favorite of all.

    Welsummer rooster named Henry Hurtfoot (got him from someone whom no longer wanted him and he has lost parts of a few toes from freezing, but gets around just beautifully). My 2 Aracaunas are Shelly and Helga.
