Lazy Layers
Born and raised in Dallas, TX but begin living with we moved to the North Carolina ranch in 2000. Sleeping Dog Ranch is where everything we love lives. Husband and I have two horses, six retired Nubian goats, I used to breed them but aged-out, about two dozed chickens of various breeds, three dogs, five cats, and one husband. Yes, he's on the list.
When I retired from the corporate world, I open two businesses and have never looked back. Gran' Nanny's Goat Milk Soaps and Sleeping Dog Ranch Nubians keep me busier than corporate American ever could. Those businesses lasted about ten years and I cherish every memory.
Today I am only focusing on my chickens and indoor critters: dogs, cats, and husband. The outside interests are my gardens, became a Master Gardener for Stanly County NC in 2017, and my chicken. The goats are well cared for but they're pets.
I'd like to sell a few eggs from time to time but am not an aggressive sales person any longer. My chicken interest now is how to garden with chickens. Since they love to scratch, I want them to work for me in the gardens and compost areas.
I'll keep you guys posted on our successes.
