    Are eggs safe to eat if the chicken was bit by another animal?

    A while. A few weeks. She didn't lay at first afterwards, and she had antibiotics for a long time to make sure the wound healed. She's fine. I think it was a farrel cat that bit her, and we suspect that the cats have kitty fiv.

    I'm not sure by what, she was bleeding and the vet said it was a bite. She's all healed now after lots of antibiotics, but I want to know (maybe I'm being paranoid), if the animal that bit her had any sort of infection, could that affect her eggs? She is fine, so don't want to throw them away...
