    Why do Magpies swoop my chickens?

    I had a magpie fly into my run through the open man door then through the little chicken door into the coop and steal a baby chick (about 8 weeks old)from its mom.

    My broody hen pooped in her nest today and it seriously gave me the dry heaves. It had to be a half pound of the sickest smelling crap on the planet. I hope I never have to smell that again.

    Anyone know about feeding oxytetracycline to one layer?

    My vet put my rooster on oxytetracycline today. Mine came in powder form and was from Agrilabs. It is a 4.78 oz bag and makes 128 gallons for the strongest dose possible. This ends up being just under 4 1/2 teaspoons per gallon. I am putting him on the strongest dose since he has pneumonia. Hope...

    Sneezing and runny nose?

    My rooster is sneezing and quit crowing. His nose is runny but clear. I've noticed several of my chickens have their eyes closed a lot more. I started treating the whole flock this morning with Sulmet. I don't want to risk losing them. Lucky for me I don't have any layers right now.
