When they’re inside I can tell if they’re too cold or warm, but with that heater I’m not sure. They’re all huddle together in front of it. But I guess maybe I’m just being a worried mama.
The low temp is about 45 degrees tonight. The chicks have been in the coop most of the day and we just got the cozy coop heater thingy. It’s radiant heat so it’s not meant to heat the whole coop just gives them a warm spot. Temps outside currently are 60 and the thermometer placed near them...
No, I don’t have anything yet. I’ve just been observing and she still seems ok. I checked her ears and as far as I could tell they were clear (those holes are tiny!). I haven’t managed to check her mouth yet, she’s not having it, but I’ll keep trying.
