    Not high but still have to hop into them.. the nesting box have shavings in them and the floor of the coop has shavings

    I put everyone in the hen house at night while they were sleeping. It went okay. But they are still scared to go down below with the other chickens... they don't seem to mind the older ones when they come in to lay eggs. No real fighting just your typical pecking trying to sort thru the pecking...

    I forgot to add in my post... they are dusting bathing in the nesting boxes because they refuse to leave the hen house and go into the run with the older chickens. They are breaking eggs ugh lol

    That's exactly what I thought. But was told today that the chick hatchery's have them listed in catalogs as blue egg layers green egg layers etc by looking at their ear... I can't wait for the surprise 😊 I'm really hoping for a blue egg!

    I recently found a local farm who sells pullets for a great price ... so the crazy chicken lady ( ME) 🤣 added a few more to her flock! I got 1 easter egger for my son .. I'm not sure who's more excited to see what color she'll lay 🤣 i was recently told you can tell the egg color by the ears...

    The only egg seller that's near by is about 30 mins away, she's my husband's aunt. She sells her eggs for $4 she was selling them cheaper but has since upped her price.. she still sells a good bit but lost a few customers because of it.
