    How much to feed market broilers?

    For the Cornish Cross meat birds try to use high protein feed. I use 24%. I've seen people use 30% and their birds do grow faster. I try to keep the feeders high enough so the birds need to stand up to eat and don't just sit there all day eating.

    So far the door hasn’t had any problems. I may rebuild it with some side rollers to prevent the door from sticking but so far so good.

    Instead of building a winch that needs a motor controller and limit switches, wouldn't it be easier to use a linear actuator and a couple of relays that the RaspberryPi or other microcontroller can just tell to open or close?
