    Wood chips in chicken run?

Hi- hope this finds you well. Scooping the sand in my coop is giving me bad arm/shoulder pain. Did you remove sand before you put mulch/wood chips or leave it? Thanks!

Getting some back and shoulder pain from cleaning/scooping my sand chicken run every 2-3 days. Someone suggested micro bark. Can I just place this on top of my sand or do I have to remove? Partridge cochin-10 weeks

Hi- got 2 sexed female standard cochin chicks at 1 week old, now 10 weeks and comb/wattle a lot bigger on this partridge than the other buff. Is it a cockerel? Had light colored chest as a chick. Also treated it with what I thought was vent gleet as a chick, better now. I guess cockerels can get...

Would it be too difficult to clean sand under an enclosed coop? Finishing my run and want to give the chicks extra space. Predator apron or bury hardware cloth inside run? Squirrels, moles, gophers, raccoons in the area. Thanks!

Hi All, my first post is about the floor to the coop and run. Can I leave the dirt, wood chips that I currently have for the run? Easy to get pine shavings curbside from TSC. Read a lot about sand but harder to get considering how much I need and the times but want to do the best I can. Can I...
