so does your bird still seem to be a roo? i would have guessed a pullet. however, i am still trying to figure out my own 4 month olds. one is gorgeous, single comb, acting like a pullet then all of a sudden acting roo like and growing spurs!

aceschix can you say who you ordered the wellies from? the two who made it do look like girls, but some wellie lines arent sexible by color. i know cause i thought i was left with 3 (out of 5) males who all turned out to be hens. lesterlu

pandora, can you find a feed or farm store nearby? i drive 15-20 minutes to mine and stock up on the cheap shavings. where do you get your feed? they dont have shavings?

keep in mind "up north" sometimes means Canada and CELSIUS not Farenheit. people forget to specify. mine didnt go outside until 3 or so months old and it was still warm outside. maybe some experienced people can chime in on young pullets and temp needs. Like Mom@2, i am worried they are too...
