They didn't make it but I kind of expected after what was said. I'm leaving it a little bit before I try another hatch so I can get a calibrated thermometer etc and be extra prepared for it.
Shame they didn't make it but I guess when you interfere that's what you get 🤷♀️
Well since they're moving it's prob worth a chance at helping them then isn't it? If I leave them a few more days they'll be dead and if I help them now then maybe a slight chance they'll survive. Do you think?
Won't doing that kill them if too early tho?
*too early as in they haven't pipped yet. Or is that safer so when they do pip they have more air?
Would I not break the shell cos they're so delicate
I've got I think 5 quail for sure possibly 9 on day 21 in the incubator, moving slightly during candeling but no pips.
I had to check as egg 10 split and started oozing so needed to check what was going on incase that had caused problems for the others. There were another 2 that had slightly...
I've moistened mine a little, didn't want to hurt them. Hoping they'll be ok.
Thank you. I'll keep a close eye and follow what you did. Fingers crossed 🤞
Can someone please advise.
Between 3pm yesterday and 2pm today my ducks pipped, but they've retracted back into the shell, not all the way but I don't know if I should be worried. Put a safety hole in them (i have 4) and hoping they'll be ok.
