I have a hen displaying all of these symptoms and I've given her baths and greased her up and now her belly is getting bigger. Today she just looks tired and worn out. Maybe it is time to put her down. I've never done it and not sure if I can but hate to see her suffer.
He was apologetic and offered to buy new chickens but as we all know they are irreplaceable. No fences between yards in rural N. H. HIs kids came home and let the dogs out and their electric fence wasn't working. SO that's it. I told him I don't expect to ever see his dogs in my yard agin.

Could anyone tell me if chickens will have a problem if I have a seasonally wet back yard? If they free range or are penned in over soggy grass will it bother them? Thanks
