    Traumatized hen still not laying

    Born in April 2025, same age as my other 2 that are currently laying no problem. No injuries that I've noticed, I'm hoping just slower to recover from the incident

    Just joined and thanks for all the helpful tips and tricks! (1) I"m a new chicken person! Just got my first 4 in April, thought one was a male so picked up a slightly older buffO, then the 4th one WAS a lady so then I had 5. My dog killed one of my Red Rhodes and a cuckoo (Celia and MamaRu)...

    Traumatized hen still not laying

    Hi all, My dog killed 2 of my hens a few weeks ago, leaving 3 unharmed. My Red Rhodie and Buff are laying with no problems but my cuckoo Maran has not laid since. Her comb is a little paler, and is a bit skittish but nothing really unusual for her but I do think she misses her other cuckoo...
