One of my roosters recently fought a fox that was attacking the flock. He lost some feathers and it appears has lost one claw and now is losing his spurs. He is the beta rooster. Can I expect them to grow back?

How would you determine "overboard?" Do you have a specific weight of BOSS per chicken you feed?

Mixed age flock nutrition and high protein questions

I'm currently keeping 2 roosters. One was the father of the other. The son has become dominant. The fight was bloody. They have worked out their relationship now. The father has always been a protector as I've watched him put his body between a yard invader and the hens when a predator shows up...

I've now used both the Rentacoop and the Premier 1 electric poultry netting and find the RENTACOOP poles stiffer and easier to use in the soil here in New England. I have three fences and two chargers from Rentacoop...

    BUYER BEWARE.... RentACoop products

Late to the party (this is 2024) but thought I'd update. I've now used both Rentacoop and Premier 1 electric fencing. I find the poles for Rentacoop stronger and easier to stick into the ground here in New England. So I've purchased three of the electric fences (and two chargers) and will...
