    Is buff Orpington ok eating same layer food as silkie?

    That was interesting article, wish I had a rooster to observe. My POL isn’t well today and her bottom has egg remains so presuming she’s layed her 3rd ever soft egg but worrying some may be stuck in her, will a bath help? And if it’s soft will she be fine?

    I’ve never used oyster shells, I’ve got 3 silkies and a pekin and shells always been fine, il give it a week or so for her to mature and then get some for her if no improvement, thanks for advice, not heard of escort call!

    My POL buffs first 2 eggs are soft shelled and she didn’t do the chicken song after laying, my POL silkies started laying and singing too, just wondering if Orpington’s feed needs to be different and if not all chickens sing after laying:)

    Very informative ta, starter feed it is or mayby a mixture with layer pellets for other 2 if I decide to keep them seperate, still undecided about that yet

    She’s around 9months old, I got her around 12 weeks and the neck started a few weeks later and has got progressively worse since she started laying. Thanks for advice I will try adding tuna etc to see if any changes
