    Omg...I love your chicken family!!! I have one Silkie and I want more! I have other chickens but they don't seem to like her and they pick on her. Where can I find them/ buy more?

    I'm not sure I'll ever free range again!

    A hawk came down and got both of my white leghorns. Since then I only let my girls free range when myself and the dog are in the backyard. I still see the hawks, but they don't dare come down. Also, I bought deer netting and placed that over their range area.

    Silkie chickens?

    OMG I love your pictures!!! I have one silkie and I want another! She doesn't really fit in with the rest of the flock! (The other girls are twice her size.)

    Loved the article! My hens particaipte in the "supervised free ranging." I lost too many to have them out there on their own! I have noticed that the eggs are much better, yolks are bigger and a brighter golden yellow.

    I had issues with foxes and hawks. We lost 3 and a half hens. (I say half because a fox tried to attack my Silkie but she fought hard and got her wing torn off. Shes happy and healthy today!) We bought 2 dog kennels, added about a foot of chicken wire on the bottom and put netting on the top...
