This is my chicken Goldie, I bought her 8 months ago. The guy I bought her from sold me an "ameraucana" which wasn't actually an ameraucana. He said that goldie is an wyandotte, and to me she looks like one. I just want to make sure, she is what he said she is.
So I posted a thread about my chicken Hoop not laying and this morning she laid an egg !! I'm like 90% sure this her egg because when i picked it up i could tell it was fresh and it was almost like a soft shell. I still don’t know what type of chicken she is, that’s what I need to figure out...
When i find out i will post them, this just makes me rethink like maybe my other chicken isn’t even a wyandotte. I’m really about to text him ( I still have his number from when he sold them to me ) and ask questions because that’s not cool, i was so excited for blue eggs.
I actually do remember the man telling me that he got the chicks from somewhere else, he said something along the lines of: the chicks were a rarer breed so he had to get them somewhere else and that they would lay blue eggs. I should’ve asked more questions but i didn’t :/
I know she definitely doesn't look like one, but that is what the man told me when he sold her to me, so I don't really know. I really hope she lays soon though.
