Hi there-
I was wondering if anyone knew about laws in Plymouth regarding keeping ducks etc. I see there are no laws so to speak about chickens, and I have had 7 chickens for about 2 years. Thinking if getting a quieter duck - like a Cayuga???
Thanks-
I light the coop as well, I turn the light on from dark until about 8:00. Mostly for my own sake- it is too dark out there! I like seeing what I am doing. The hens have been laying for a year now, pretty consistent so far.
Plymouth as well! I also got 6 chicks in July and now all are laying. I use a heated waterer on the cold days, and a light on the coop. I have some Silkies, Austrolorp, Buff Brahma, Easter Egger, And Wyandotte's. My Easter Egger is laying green eggs-and yesterday laid the hugest egg I have ever...
My friendliest is my Austrolorp, runs up to me & follows me around. My swwet little silkie is very sweet and quiet, and easy to pick up and handle!! She is great for the kids. My Golden Laced Wyandotte's are the most skittish.
Love this coop..can't wait to show my husband for some ideas! I love the sign with the names of your 'GIRLS" -something I will do for sure!!! Very creative!!!!
