    Aggression in Roosters--Is it Genetic?

I was really worried about this because we had a roo named Johnny who we had to kill. He was very very aggressive and used to attack us if we were just outside our while I feeding the girls or hanging out with my goose. I ended up finding a chick outside one night by himself after I got done...

    Something attacked Olive

She's set up in the laundry room. I did put the vetericyn first. She's my girl. I just wanted to consult with you guys here, if it looks like she could pull through. Thank you so much. I'll update later.

    Something attacked Olive

I just found my duck outside. She came waking up to me but not quaking when I was calling her treats. All the skin and feathers are gone off her neck. It looks like just muscle. I cleaned her wounds and put Blu kote? And vetericyn and she's in my bathtub with food and water until I finish her...

I need to kill my roo and i cant do it

I still have big bird. He's not a psycho and we had tried being dominant like everyday since he's been fully feathered he just got progressively worse instead of better. I'm glad he's gone. My and my goose have gotten to spend time together and my garden and yard look great since I can work in peace

I need to kill my roo and i cant do it

He was not odd behavior. He was angry violent and not just attacking me who raised him from a hatchling, but they were always loved on and hand fed. There was just something not nice about him and I have 2 small 10 yr old twin nephew's who were terrified to go outside cause he attacked them. I...

Official BYC Poll: What Do You Do With Your Aggressive Roosters?

We’ve unfortunately ended up with 3. Yeah we snuffed the rooster. I just can’t eat them. I eat meat but I can’t bring myself to eat something I’ve raised and loved.

Kissing Chickens. What is your opinion?

I'm so guilty of this! I kiss all my birds. My sister says I'm must be immune to salmonella and I agree. Their so cute I've even licked one. 🤷‍♀️

I need to kill my roo and i cant do it

My nephew was supposed to kill him but I think he might feel bad about it so I'm just going to handle it myself tonight. I can't bring myself to physically hurt him so I'm looking into other methods. I've raised him since he was a tiny chick so it's hard but hopefully tomorrow I'll have some...
