    Sick wyandotte

Thank-you everyone. It is just so hard to loose even one. My golden lace wyandotte died this morning. Now I am sterilzing the area where she was kept. I have two coop entries that are kept seperated by a small enclosed yard and a big nesting box 3x2 1/2 feet for broody birds. That is also where...

    Sick wyandotte

Wyandotte not feeling good this morning. Sometimes it just takes forever, at some point all I can do is keep her comfortble in her own area. We hate to have to put them down. She had fluid coming from her beak again and it smells sour. Her crop is soft though. Linda

    Sick wyandotte

My wyandotte made it through the night. Yes she is seperated from the rest of the flock. This morning she took a drink on her own and alittle crumbles and yogurt! She is moving slow still. Thank-you for all your advice. Linda

    Sick wyandotte

I inserted the thermometer into the vent. Her temp is 104.8 My concern is that she may have picked up something from the wild bird life that we have so much of. We live in the woods, the foothills of CA. I will keep posting. Linda

    Sick wyandotte

I just gave her some water with an eye dropper. She stood up and started to walk and had a very watery diarrhea, yellowish. She walked away and now is back down. My husband is going to buy a thermometer. Linda

    Sick wyandotte

Her crop feels soft. Her droppings are normal, greenish. Her throat is clear. I don't have a thermometer. I have offered her water and some lettuce but she won't try either. Thank-you both, I will try anything for her. Linda

    Sick wyandotte

I have a 3 year old wyandotte who was laying fine and very healthy. 3 days ago she started laying down and not her usual self. Today she is not up at all. She is having a water discharge from her mouth. I have her seperated from the rest of the flock. I have checked her for egg binding, none. I...
