I'm in Pomona. My "flock" is only one hen and one rooster. They wandered into my backyard from a neighbor several years ago and decided to stay. Now I work at protecting Spot, the hen from marauding possums and raccoons. Dumpling, the rooster keeps himself safe at night be sleeping high up...
I was so glad to find this posting about the tiny little egg. My chicken just laid one of those, and had me worried about her. As long as this is something that commonly happens every now and then I guess I can stop worrying about her.
Thanks for putting my fears at rest.
P.S. I am brand...
