Cracks
I have abroad hen, but no roo, so I purchased some eggs for her to sit. When I got home a couple of the eggs had cracks, this was just today. I went ahead and put them under her anyway. Should I remove the ones with cracks??? Is there a way to fix them (waxing)? Or, just leave them under...- lindareynolds

How long do hens stay broody?
I just had a hen hatch out 5 turkey eggs, yesterday. She is still with the baby poults. However, I will not leave her with them long. I am wondering if this will break her broody, or if I might be able to get some other fertile chick eggs and let her hatch them out? I usually remove her from...- lindareynolds

I was out with the chicks this afternoon. I can hardly tell Olive from the other buff orpintons now! I am not sure how often she lays. I have 10 hens and get anywhere from 7 - 9 eggs per day. But, she seems happy!- lindareynolds
