    So i found a new feed store that was recommended to me from a lady i bought a few pullets from. They sell a local feed X Cel out of Tacoma. I'm googling and i am not finding any info on them. Does anyone have any good or bad reports on them? I know the cashier was trying to hard sell the layena...

    It looks like a hang nail of skin you get at the side of your finger nails. I have done nothing to treat it, should i be?

    one day the chick favors her right leg,Though she doesnt like to use either of them. She will get up to get food and water then lay there the rest of the day. Poo is fine as well. The older chicks that are in with her (6-7 weeks) arent pecking at her at all *phew* in fact they lay on either...

    That is amazing!!! our family plan is to one day be completely self sufficient, but with the husband being military its really hard to plant roots, figuratively and literally. lol with that much land you could do awesome things!!! WAHOOO!!!!!

    So need to know what ya'll use in your pens to stop the digging!!! I have digger chickens, and im tired of filling in holes. Sand? Gravel? I'd love to hear pros and cons of both.

    im on my never ending hunt for Marans! Went to dels and they told me i had to order 25. So im now pondering if i want to order 25 and hope i can sell them off, or just keep watching craigslist. ALSO bought two chicks yesterday! Black australorp and a buff orpington.
